MY BEST FRIEND
Whenever I hear anyone talking about his or her best friend, I always think of Seng Lee. I first met him in primary school. It was my first day of school and I was a bit upset. My mother took me into class and told me where to sit. She gave me some last minute instructions and then told me she would pick me up after the school. As I saw her walking away, I felt lost and alone. Tears started gathering in my eyes and rolled down on my cheeks.
“Don’t cry! I will be your friend!” I heard a soft voice beside me. It was from Chinese boy with short, spiky hair and gentle eyes. Seng lee was the kindest person I ever knew in school. He loved helping people and always had a sympathetic ear for anyone who was in trouble. From our first meeting we know each other that we had so many things in common. We were an odd looking pair, always walking around together. It was just those physicals we were opposites so I guess that is why even the teachers used to smile whenever they saw us together. Seng Lee was very small, thin and frail looking whereas I was tall and towered over him.
Seng Lee made going to school fun for me. He was exceptionally bright and easily understood everything the teachers taught. I, on the other hand, was a little slower and Seng Lee usually explained everything to me again and helped me with my homework. Another unusual thing about Seng Lee was that he was always so cheerful. It sometimes used to irritate me that the rest of us all had off days whereas Seng Lee was never down. Even when he was sick, which was quite often, he still used to smile. When I asked him about it, he would just shrug and say, “Well, I guess I am just thankful to be alive”.
We were classmates until we were in Standard three. Then tragedy was happened. I knew Seng Lee was sickly but I never realized how sick he actually was. One day he was so sick in school that he had to be sent home. He was absent for a week. Then our class teacher came to class and she was crying. We were all was shocked and knew that something bad must have happened to Seng Lee. She told us that Seng Lee had passed away the night before. He had leukemia since he was small and the doctors had tried their best to save him but its still failure. I just couldn’t believe that my smiling, cheerful friend was gone. For a long time afterwards, whenever I was excited, I would turn to tell him the news only to find that he was not there.
Now I am studying at University Technology Mara but I still think of Seng Lee. If you ask me about my best friend I will remember Seng Lee who always was and always will be the best friend I ever had.

2. It was just those physicals we were opposites < I DON'T UNDERSTAND THIS PART>
3. Then A tragedy happened.
4. We were all shocked ...
